Richard Jones, BSc, FCA, Director

Richard trained with an eight partner firm on the edge of the City. Despite its relatively small size it provided a full range of audit experience from small businesses up to an independent building society and quoted companies. This and subsequent time spent as a partner in a similar firm focussed on auditing and advising small and medium sized businesses. A chance audit assignment on behalf of the US Government led to joining the National Audit Office in 2001 and auditing Government departments, agencies and trading funds. However, an opportunity to return to his roots was one not to be missed.

Paul spent a number of years in corporate finance raising money for early stage companies from a variety of sources (including: banks, business angels, venture capitalists and via stock market flotations). He also worked on mergers and acquisitions, corporate disposals, management buy-outs and management buy-ins. Paul then became Finance Director of a software business floating it on OFEX (now PLUS) and following that became interim Finance Director for an AIM quoted software company.

Denis has spent over 20 years in general practice and has been a partner for 15 years. His clients are predominantly SME's run by highly motivated entrepreneurs. His broad accounting and taxation experience enables him to offer strategic and tax planning advice to successful entrepreneurs with multiple overlapping commercial and investment interests.
